Level 5 Finish

KOLIR LTD offers Level 5 drywall finishing for walls and ceilings in Calgary and surrounding areas. A Level 5 finish adds a thin skim coat across the entire drywall surface after the joints, corners and fasteners have received the required finishing.

What Makes Level 5 Different?

Standard joint finishing treats seams and fasteners. Level 5 also treats the full board surface to reduce differences in surface texture and absorption between the board face and joint compound.

• Assessment and preparation of the existing drywall finish.

• Sanding and refinement of the skim-coated surface.
• Review of primer requirements before final decoration.

When to Consider Level 5

Level 5 is often considered for surfaces exposed to strong side lighting, large windows, darker paint colours or paints with sheen. It improves surface uniformity but does not straighten uneven framing or guarantee that every imperfection will disappear under every lighting condition.
